Focus of activity
Cutting machine operators manufacture precision components using machining processes such as turning, milling, drilling or grinding.
CNC machine tools are used for this. They set them up, monitor the production process and carry out quality checks. Maintenance and repair work on the machines are also part of the job.
Duration of training
3.5 years, shortening possible under certain conditions
Training requirement
Good secondary school leaving certificate/secondary technical school or intermediate school leaving certificate
